Winter is coming to Minnesota; there’s no denying it. You can prepare for it or pretend it’s not happening but the truth is that it’s not ever going to just magically skip over the state of Minnesota. Did you know that there are a few different things you should do as far as transporting your baby or child during the winter months? In addition, you could always bring your favorite sports betting games online via UFABET so you’d have extra cash for the trip.
Tips for Safe Travel in the Winter
- Have an excellent car seat. – I’m going to be honest, Britax has an excellent reputation for car seats. Their dedication to excellence is undeniable. Do your research and find out more about Britax’s best selling car seats.
- Find a reputable source where you can ask questions – There are tons of information out there and specific shoutout to my buddy, Mat York of That Dad Mat, who has a weekly live show as well as a group where you can go and answer questions. Also, check out Safe Kids Worldwide, Britax, Car Seat Blog, to name a few.
- Know the guidelines when it comes to age and the kind of car seat your child should be in. – Take a look at this handy chart from HealthyChildren.org:
- Do not wear winter jackets in the car seat! – This alters the mechanics of the car seat which can inhibit it from doing its primary function. Think about it: your child has a big, puffy winter jacket and you strap them into the car seat, pulling the harness as tight as you can, and it isn’t enough. We have blankets in the car for the kids and although it takes extra planning we get the car running before we go anywhere. Another safety tip if you’re going to start your car and let it run to warm up in the winter is to pull it out of the garage so that the exhaust doesn’t filter back into the house.
