I’m so excited to share with you all that I’ll be heading out to San Francisco a week from today! I’ve been invited, along with 24 of Disney’s top bloggers, to visit Pixar Animation Studios for a press event for the upcoming film INCREDIBLES 2! We’ll be in San Fran from April 3rd through the 5th where we’ll be enjoying all things Disney, chatting with some key people and learning how Pixar does its thing. I cannot wait! Truth be told, my kids are driving me crazy!!! I feel like Helen Parr (you know, Mrs. Incredible, Elastigirl) when the kids are fighting and she’s completely exacerbated.
This trip couldn’t have come at a better time and thankfully my parents and sister are going to watch the kids since Ben has to work late tax season hours. It really does take a village sometimes to support a mom and I’m so blessed to have such a supportive family.
Join me on an INCREDIBLE Adventure to Pixar Studios! INCREDIBLES 2 Early Press Days Event
What is this next week going to look like for me? I just got my itinerary and here’s what I’ll be up to!!!
Tuesday, April 3rd – Arrive in San Francisco
The first day we’ll be screening of footage from INCREDIBLES 2. It’s not the entire film, usually only about a half hour or so, but it’s enough just to get us all excited for June 15th when we can see the rest of the film. We’re also going to screen the animated short film “Bao” and we’ll also attend a presentation and Q&A with the director of the film, Domee Shi, as well as the producer, Becky Neiman. This trip is all about learning how these films are made and I’m really stoked to see how it all works.
Wednesday, April 4 – Pixar Studios Day!!
We’re going to tour Pixar Studios!!! And we’ll be attending many different presentations really diving into how a Pixar film is made. We’ll be meeting with a lot of the important behind the scenes people such as: Production Designer Ralph Eggleston, Visual Designer Philip Metschan, Shading Art Director Bryn Imagire, Sets Supervisor Nathan Fariss, Story Supervisor Ted Mathot, Layout Supervisor Mahyar Abousaeedi, Animator Kureha Yokoo, Effects Artist Amit Baadkar, Shading Art Director Bryn Imagire, Tailoring Lead Fran Kalal, Character Artist Deanna Marsiglies, Supervising Animator Tony Fucile, Effects Supervisor Bill Watral and Effects Artist Jason Johnston.
We’re going to attend the INCREDIBLES 2 press conference with Director Brad Bird and Producers Nicole Grindle & John Walker. After the press conference we’re going to doing a little more at Pixar Studios and then we’ll attend a DISNEYLAND “Pixar Fest” presentation and Q&A with the Disney Theme Parks team.
Thursday, April 5 – Walt Disney Family Museum and Last Day
When I was in San Francisco last time for the ROGUE ONE Event we visit the Walt Disney Family Museum and it is such a treasure trove of history. While we’re there we’ll be going through “Make Believe: The World of Glen Keane”. Then I’ll be on my merry way back to the Midwest and hopefully feeling refreshed and ready to finish out this tax season strong.
This is such a great group of bloggers attending. I am so stinkin’ excited to see my friends! Want to follow along with me? I’ll be updating all of my social media platforms but pay special attention to my Twitter feed and Instagram Story which is where I’ll be posting the most. And you can also follow the event hashtag to get all of the inside scoop from the other 24 bloggers on the trip.
