A few years ago, in 2007 to be honest, every person I knew was raving about William P. Young’s The Shack. It was a revolutionary novel, some say based on personal experience, about a man who loses his daughter in a completely devastating event that promises to wreck him to his core. Until he confronts the event and returns to the place where his daughter lost her life, only to finally find his.

Now THE SHACK is coming to the big screen and YOU have a chance to see an advantage screening of the film next Thursday at AMC Southdale!  I’m excited to give away a pair of tickets to see the movie on March 2nd, and a copy of the book! #TheShack opens in theatres March 3.

Based on the New-York Times best-selling novel, THE SHACK takes us on a father’s uplifting spiritual journey.  After suffering a family tragedy, Mack Phillips (Sam Worthington) spirals into a deep depression causing him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa (Octavia Spencer). Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever.
