Being intentional this summer with Stonyfield and prAna.

This summer, rather than being annoyed by the fact that all three children are at home with me all day long, I’m trying to embrace the family time we’ll have together. It’s more about being intentional in our day rather than merely getting through it. It’s about taking the small moments and seizing them to make lasting memories. It’s about using the time that we have together as a family to impart my children with life lessons. This summer I’m craving what I like to call “intentionality.”

What Does Being Intentional Look Like?

There are so many ways you can be intentional from the way you eat to the way you spend your time, even how you dress and the kind of personal care products you use. In our house it looks like this:

  • Choosing organic when it counts and that’s why we choose to eat Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Greek Yogurt. It comes in a variety of flavors such as Honey, Vanilla, Blueberry, Cherry and Strawberry.
  • Being mindful of the products that we use on our skin and that includes our clothes which is why I love prAna.
  • Spending time away from screens and learning the value of a good work ethic. Perhaps you’ve seen the post making the rounds on Facebook with household chores that kids need to do in order to earn their screen time. I think it’s a great idea which is why we’re doing the same thing in our house. I’ve made this handy printable to help keep track of the time my kids have earned. My hope with all this talk about craving being intentional is that our family will flourish this summer. We’ll enjoy each other. That’s not to say that there won’t be any hiccups, bad days or less intentional times where we didn’t make the right choices with food or clothes or even the products we put on our skin.
