Last winter I started hearing buzz about a cloth diaper company based in the United Kingdom. Then on social media I began seeing pictures of babes in cute prints that I didn’t recognize from any U.S. brands. Who is this company making these adorable diapers? Mystery solved, it’s Bambino Mio! In January Bambino Mio partnered with Dirty Diaper Laundry to offer parents the opportunity to try a Bambino cloth diaper for free so I snagged a Bambino cloth diaper. Later when given the opportunity to share a review of Bambino’s flag ship product, the Miosolo, on First Time Mom I had to say yes! In exchange for my honest review I received a Miosolo in “Elephant Parade.”

The Bambino Miosolo is an all in one cloth diaper meaning everything, the absorbent material and the waterproof exterior, is sewn together all in one diaper. With its weight range starting at 8 lbs (that’s 4kg for you international folk), the Miosolo is a one size cloth diaper, designed to fit most babies birth till potty training. There are three rise settings and a generous waistband with hook & loop closure.

On Bambino Mio’s website the Miosolo retails for $21.99 US (£15.99 UK). It is available in an array of frequently changing prints and colors so if you fall in love with a particular look be sure to buy it asap! The Miosolo has a stay-dry interior with an absorbent microfiber core that has a pull out tab system, which you can use to pull out the soaker for thorough laundering.

My Take

Overall the Miosolo is a very user-friendly diaper. I love the quality and durability of Bambino Mio’s hook & loop. Scoring more points for cuteness is that the hook & loop’s coloring coordinates with each diaper’s color or print.

The stay-dry interior is very soft and is easy to clean. The microfiber core is trim and very absorbent, scoring the Miosolo high marks for performance. I also like that there is plenty of extra room for adding additional absorbency if you wanted to use the Miosolo as a night time cloth diaper.

The exterior PUL is soft, flexible, and easy for baby to move in and easy to work with. While you can dry the MioSolo on low in the machine, there’s no need because it air dries quickly and is still soft without a tumble cycle.

A unique feature of the Miosolo is the “pull out tab system.” This is a clever solution for both stuffing in and pulling out the absorbent core from under the stay-dry interior for laundering.

The fit of this diaper works great on bigger babes. Despite being potty trained, my son humored me and tried on the Miosolo for fit. He is 39″ tall, weighs 35lbs, and the Miosolo fit him perfectly and he had plenty of room to grow. While I cannot attest to how its absorbency works on not so little, “little ones,” it has held up well during my daughter’s nap time.

Truth be told I had some difficulty on the smaller end of the fit scale. My daughter’s nickname is “Little Girl.” The Shakespearian quote from  A Mid Summer’s Night Dream, “Though she be but little, she is fierce!” fits Little Girl perfectly. Using the MioSolo All in One I could achieve a snug fit on her slender frame; however, with all Little Girl’s toddling and climbing we had wing drooping issues. I do not think that less mobile tiny tots would have fit issues, but an additional rise setting would help on the low end of the weight range.

BambinoMio’s wonderful customer service guy helped me troubleshoot our wing drooping issues. They stand behind their diapers and want to make using cloth diapers easy. As a company, BambinoMio truly cares about the customer experience. The MioSolo came with a helpful info card about diaper use and care. Everyone I’ve encountered with BambinoMio is a delight.

With an affordable price, ease of use, quality materials and construction, and a great company behind the diaper the MioSolo is an All in One diaper worth serious consideration. You can buy what many say is Europe’s favorite cloth diaper here!
