I am so grateful to Disney for sending me on this all expense paid trip to cover ROGUE ONE, “Star Wars Rebels”, “Mickey and the Roadster Racers” and the BluRay release of PINOCCHIO. All opinions are my own.

You guys…I have something MAJOR to share with you and I’ve been keeping it a secret for TWO WHOLE WEEKS (which felt like a lifetime).  Ready???

I’m going on the RogueOneEvent/StarWarsRebelsEvent/MickeyRacersEvent/PinocchioBluray press trip!

Phew! I’ve been waiting to do that since November.

I, along with 24 Disney bloggers, will be arriving in San Francisco TODAY to help promote ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY, the release of the Disney animated classic (and Laura’s favorite Disney movie as a child) PINOCCHIO on BluRay, give you all a sneak peek on the new Disney Junior show Mickey and the Roadster Racers” and we’ll screen two episodes of Disney XD’s “Star Wars Rebels”.

Saturday, December 3rd

I’ll be landing in San Francisco with my fellow bloggers (shout out to my Midwest blogging pals who’ll be on my flight – Africa’s BlogBlogging Mom of 4, and Donna Hup) before noon on Saturday. From the airport, we’ll arrive at (and I cannot believe I’m saying this) the Fairmont San Francisco, where we’ll be staying for the entirety of our trip. If you haven’t heard of the Fairmont, that’s okay, I wasn’t familiar with it either. It is the hotel in San Francisco. It has an extremely rich history (think scenes from Hitchcock’s film VERTIGO and the hotel President Harry S Truman stayed during his visit to northern California in 1948) that’s just as impressive as its beauty.

After we get settled and explore San Fran in the afternoon we’ll be shuttled off to Skywalker Ranch to see some footage from ROGUE ONE. All of the STAR WARS films are kept under such tight secrecy that no one sees the films this early before the film is released. Once we’ve seen the ROGUE ONE presentation we’ll get a walking tour of the famous and unavailable to the public Skywalker Ranch. When I heard that we were going to be actually getting passed the gates of Skywalker Ranch, I couldn’t help but think of Lenard and Shelton from “The Big Bang Theory” trying to get onto the Ranch.

Skywalker Ranch is known for its place in the Lucasfilm’s universe. It’s where sound design, sound mixing, and audio post-production takes place for movies. It is not open to the public.

Sunday, December 4th (Happy Birthday Laura!)

It’s interview day, a day where us bloggers get to stand in the presence of greatness and ask them our questions. We’ll be heading to Lucasfilm HQ. We’ll be screening two episodes of “Star Wars Rebels”. Here’s the line-up:

Felicity Jones (“Jyn”)

Diego Luna (“Cassian”)

Alan Tudyk (“K-2SO”)

Riz Ahmed (“Bodhi”)

Happy Birthday, Walt Disney! No, really it’s his birthday, and what better way to honor him than by visiting the Walt Disney Family MuseumWhile we’re at the museum we’ll get to preview an episode of the new Disney Junior show “Mickey and the Roadster Racers”, we’ll also interview the producers of the show, Rob LaDuca & Mark Seidenberg. We’ll tour the exhibits at the Walt Disney Family Museum and see the new exhibit, Wish Upon a Star: The Art of Pinocchio, which is open to the public, to celebrate the BluRay release of PINOCCHIO.

And then I’ll come home, sleep in my own bed and be thrown into motherhood as soon as the morning breaks! Nothing like being a parent to keep you grounded after a magical Disney press trip!
