There are a few major toy brands that as a parent I know and trust. Some are classics and have been around forever while others are newer to me but I have experience with them. Bright Starts is one of those newer to me brands that I’ve begun to love. It all started with this pink castle that had slides you could shoot balls down. All three of my kiddos love that toy. When I had the opportunity to host a Bright Starts play date with their new line of toys “League of Little Laughters” I jumped at the chance.

Geared for children ages six months to 36 months the toys featured for my League of Little Laughters play date were certain to attract giggles from even the grumpiest toddler. (What? Grumpy toddler? Mine are never grumpy…yeah right!) I was sent the Learn & Giggle Activity Station™, Learn & Giggle Fish™, Giggables™, Spin & Giggle Puppy™, and Bunch of Balls™.

For our play date I had our friends come over the week of Thanksgiving. The older kids were off from school so they easily entertained themselves while us mamas enjoyed watching our littlest ones play and laugh with our new Bright Starts™ toys.

Hands down the favorite toy for all three of our littles, spanning from 11 months to 23 months, was the Spin & Giggle Puppy™. From Bright Starts™ website,

Place the balls into the puppy’s bowl. Press the light up buttons on puppy’s paws or press down on the inside of the bowl to get puppy wobbling. The bowl wobbles and spins balls around until the balls spill out, encouraging baby to chase the balls and start the fun again. Light-up shape buttons help baby discover colors, shapes and letters. – See more at: http://www.kidsii.com/brands/bright-starts/52176-spin-giggle-puppy-toy#sthash.l9Vu4U7X.dpuf

My daughter, Missy, has really started to love playing with her Learn & Giggle Activity Station™. She loves sitting and playing in front of the station. She presses the kitten’s paw down and the bowl lights up, she flips the little book and it sings songs and lights up. She’s not the only one who loves it. My older kids adore it too. It’s perfect for babies who are able to sit to those who are crawling to running.

Oddly enough my four-year-old daughter really enjoys playing with the Learn & Giggle Fish™. The fish lights up and sings as your child learns letters, numbers, colors and shapes. When the fish is in the music mode baby presses the scales and fins for sounds and music.

My friends and I were all surprised by how engaged the kids all were with the toys. We were able to get a good 30 minutes of uninterrupted conversation while the youngsters played. The boys loved playing with the Giggable Puppy ball.

I loved the Bright Starts toys that we were sent and highly recommend them. You can purchase them on Amazon as well as in most big box retail stores.
